It's ideal for when you need some warmth and comfort on a rainy day or want to feel better after a night of drinking with your friends. The third one is Pili tart, which you should try for dessert! Pili nuts are grown in the Philippines and are one of the foods to try in Bicol. And the Bicol region produces the most of this buttery tasting nut. Pili is frequently used in the preparation of tarts and cakes. Visitors buy them in bulk to give to their loved ones back home. The pili tart, in particular, is well-liked by both locals and visitors. And this bite-sized treat is jam-packed with flavors that will have you craving more. To make it, ground pili nuts are combined with butter, sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt before being stuffed into pastry "boats" and baked.
