Holy Week Break
HOLY WEEK
In the Christian church, Holy Week is observed with special solemnity as a time of devotion to the Passion of Jesus Christ. It is the week between Palm Sunday and Easter. It is known as the Great Week in the Greek and Roman liturgical texts because God performed great deeds during this week. The other day we just went to the beach and reconnected with my high school classmates. We are just having fun and bringing up our old memories that we have shared to each other. During our Holy Week break where just bond with my siblings nothing to do because Jesus is suffering for his death on the other day we are just going to the beach. On Sabado De Gloria, my mother, my two nephews, and I go to the puting buhangin to unwind and enjoy the summer. It was a very hot day, and many people were celebrating with their families.
We are going to the church, and after the service, we are just observing the angles or the young people wearing white dresses and holding a feather atop the church. Easter Sunday, also known as "Pagka Buhay" in the Roman Catholic tradition, is a day that we just spend at the beach with our families to celebrate Jesus' resurrection three days after his crucifixion-related death. For many Christian groups, Easter signals the joyful conclusion of the Lenten season of fasting and penance.
